Today we're introducing the first part of game-changing mechanics intended for the late game. It begins with automated mining. There's a new block that you can place on the ground rich with resources (material veins), power it up and let it mine for you. Give the machine some time and its inventory starts getting filled with valuable resources.
Production Lines
The next step includes a more streamlined (dare we say automated?) 3D printing that's coming next week. When paired with the mining machine(s), containers and conveyor systems, the beginnings of factories and production lines emerge.
The automation of 3D Printers and other production blocks lies in allowing you to queue the production even if you don't currently have the required resources for that. And why? Because the mining machine is up and mining. So you ask for a thousand basic frames, you give your newly founded factory enough time and you return back for a thousand basic frames to build the next big thing.
Is it currently needed? Maybe. It is certainly a necessary part of the long-term vision we have for Planet Nomads. It will become highly useful in the upcoming months.
Besides, there are Nomads who could make good use of it already.
BuildVision Extended
With the increasing amount of machinery to look after and take care of, we're pretty sure the upcoming Extended Buildvision will come in handy. Allowing Nomads to check their generators and production blocks at a glance, and immediately see their status, such as power demand and power load, queued production, remaining fuel and fuel usage...
Generators to Consume Fuel
Right, generators will very soon consume fuel. Next week's patch or the one right after.
Bigger Greenhouse with Higher Yields
And finally food... fuel for the body. In the later stages of the game your belly will have a steady supply of goodies thanks to this production block.
Thanks for reading, Nomads. Now go check out the new mining machine and let us know what you think.
